'Sojourner Series of two' at Belgrave - St Ives 03.12.18 - mixed prints and works on paper 

Sojourner is a temporary stay as a term , but its not in the  physical  for these paintings. they depict the idea of ones retreat to a more calm rational mind. A surrendering process without being hostage to a single mindset at one time but the flickering between mind sets to find a balance within moving more calmly about ones life. Freeing from social ideas much like Sojourner Truth which was also a writer / Activist  I was particularly interested when painting these works.
